tk been poppin Interview

Who are some of your biggest influences?

“Some of my biggest influences are Tyga, Drake, Cash Money, and the down south sounds.”

What is it like growinf up in the Washington music scene?

“Well I got out here 2 years ago but since I have been here it’s been dope. It’s koo to see the support and the artist-to-artist connections that happen here. It’s been dope I can’t lie.”

What are your interests outside of music?

“I like to chill for real. I also spend a lot of time planning out and taking little steps towards moving into the corporate business world. I also like to party!”

How would you describe your music to someone who has never listened to you?

“I would describe it as a road trip down whatever interstate you want to take. If you wanna hear some rap I got it. R&B I got it. Trap shit I got it. So it’s true artistry I can do whatever the vine calls for.”

What does music mean to you?

“Music means life itself to me. Honestly, what is life without music it helps you escape, and heal, as well as it could change lives including your own. Music is my purpose.”

What can fans expect from you within the next 3 months?

“The next 3 months will bring another video release and some more shows. I’m in the works of some merch and I might release a big record I’m sittin on right now. My big rollout will start sometime in January.”

“Ummm probably Ric Flair because that grasp my main go to style and it’s a banger for sure. I haven’t had one person not like it yet.”

“My day to day life. I’m not happy with where I am so I keep pushing every time I gotta struggle or do something I don’t want to do it motivates me to keep going.”

Do you prefer to record during the day or night and why?

“Night time Fa sho because it’s just my peak time I guess. I’ve had daytime sessions and they don’t really feel right and I leave the studio feeling unaccomplished so I rock out at night.”

If you could get a feature from anyone, who would it be and why?

“I’d get a feature from Stunna 4 Vegas because he’s somebody whose music always gets me in dat mode. I’m really a fan of bro but I fr want to lock in with him on some artist shit.

Last question, do you have any advice for people wanting to step into the music industry?

“Honestly don’t let nobody tell you what you can and can’t do. And do whatever you gotta do to stay consistent that’s what’s key. Get yo money up and invest in yourself with videos, studio time, and marketing but also watch out for scams make sure you conduct business with contracts.”
