Palo Interview
Who are some of your biggest influences?
“Lil Skies, Bryson Tiller, Xxxtentacion.”
Where are you from and what does the music scene in your city need more of?
“Phoenix, Arizona, and the scene is nonexistent pretty much. If there is one I don't even know about it so I'd probably start there.”
What are your interests outside of music?
“Fashion and I'm heavy on tv shows.”
How would you describe your music to someone who has never listened to you?
“My music is the thoughts from the voice inside your head, it's what you think but shouldn't say. It's the hard truth. The voice of the homeless and sick.”.
What does music mean to you?
“Music saved my life, my project coming out is a collection of poems I wrote in rehab that I turned into verses. Music can truly change someone's outlook on life and for some give them an outlook they haven't seen before. So that's what music means to me.”
What can fans expect from you within the next 3 months?
“In the next 3 months my project Boys Don't Cry will be out. As well as new music in January and maybe even another project.”
What song would you recommend to someone who has never listened to you and why?
“Sleep With the Sirens just because it started as a poem in rehab and is a very vulnerable song for me.”
Where do you find inspiration?
“I believe in turning your pain into champagne so for me, I find inspiration when I see something or a topic I can shed light on.”
Do you prefer to record during the day or night and why?
“Night time because to me it feels like a fever dream.”
If you could get a feature
“Caspr because his music is raw and uncut, I fuck with that.”
Last question, do you have any advice for people wanting to step into the music industry?
“Don't be afraid to be your biggest fan. How can you expect someone to think you're the next Bieber if you don't even believe it?”
